The difference in strength between the seam and the mesh makes the seam the weakest link in the operation of the dryer fabric and the most direct factor affecting the quality of the paper web. The seams of the endless dryer fabric is the same as the mesh body, leaving no imprint on the paper, but it is difficult to install on paper machines, and now only some small paper machines that produce special paper are used. Choose Method of Woven Dryer Fabric

At present, one or several sets of dryer cylinders in front of the dryer section of high-speed paper machines, as well as one set of dryer cylinders after size press, generally use single web drying. In the single hanging dryer cylinder structure, the paper web can always contact the dryer fabric, so that the paper web with high moisture content is supported by the dryer fabric, eliminating shaking during operation, reducing the number of paper web breaks, and improving the production efficiency of the paper machine.

Single hanging dryer fabric should choose new types of mesh with good flatness, fine texture, low air permeability, and small differences in seams and mesh body. The air permeability of a single hanging dryer fabric is too low, which can easily lead to uneven moisture distribution in the paper web. If the air permeability is too high, the large amount of humid and hot air evaporated can easily cause the paper web to shake. Impurities in wet paper can easily stick to the mesh, so it is recommended to use a new type of dryer fabric with strong anti pollution ability during the single hanging drying stage.

The middle section of the dryer section is the main stage for the evaporation of moisture in the paper web, with the highest temperature. From the perspective of dryer fabric varieties, the most ideal selection should be a single-layer or 1.5 layer flat yarn dryer fabric for the front dryer cylinder, and a double warp flat yarn dryer fabric for the middle and rear dryer cylinders. With the increasing variety and subdivision of new dryer mesh varieties, this differentiated and targeted selection of mesh will become more and more widely used.
