Paper Machine Broken Conveyor Fabric

Paper machine broken conveyor fabric used polyester fabric, which is characterized by high strength, wear resistance, anti blocking, easy peeling, moisture and corrosion resistance. The broken conveyor fabric is mainly composed of single-layer and double-layer woven type fabric and spiral type fabric , suitable for wet and dry paper transportation, and different from forming fabric and dryer fabric.

Function of Broken Conveyor Fabric

The broken conveyor fabric is used to receive damaged paper and waste paper from the wet section, dry section, and rewinding section of paper machines, and to transport the damaged paper to broken pulper. The polyester fabric used in the broken conveyor needs to have the characteristics of tensile strength, wear resistance, non stick paper, and easy cleaning due to long-term exposure to high humidity, high abrasion, and continuous acceptance of various adhesives and fibers.

The Classification of Broken Conveyor Fabric

Woven Type Polyester Fabric

Single layer fabric (4/8 mesh): economical, wire diameter 0.3-0.5mm, plain/diagonal weave, high breathability, easy to clean, suitable for dry paper/light load.
Double layer fabric (2.5 layers/double-layer composite): mainstream, fine surface layer (0.25-0.35mm), thick bottom layer (0.4-0.6mm), wear-resistant + non stick paper + high strength, suitable for wet paper/high speed/heavy load.
Weaving: plain weave/twill weave/8-ply satin weave, with uniform mesh and moderate opening rate (30% -50%), balancing transportation and drainage.

Spiral Type Polyester Fabric

Structure: Spiral ring + threading, large/middle/small ring, can be filled with round/flat wire to adjust breathability.
Advantages: The broken conveyor fabric surface is extremely flat, non stick to paper, has good drainage, is easy to clean, and the joints are seamless. It is suitable for wet damaged paper, high viscosity, and easy to clog scenarios.
Disadvantages: Slightly low strength, high price, mostly used for high-end/high-speed paper machines.

Installation and Maintanance of Broken Conveyor Fabric

• Joint: Hot melt welding/mechanical insertion, strength ≥ 85% of base material, spiral mesh joint without trace.
• Tension: Longitudinal tension of 10-15 kN/m, to prevent deviation and deformation.
• Cleaning: High pressure water (6-10 bar)+regular brushing to prevent fiber/adhesive blockage of holes.
• Replacement: Replace when there are more than 3 broken wires per square meter, air permeability attenuation>15%, or severe wear on the mesh surface.
