- The press felt is too dry when it run on the paper machine.
- The storage time of felts is too long.
- There is a speed difference between the paper machine felt and the guide/press roller (the felts has low tension and slips).
How to Prevent Paper Machine Felt Fibers From Shedding?
So when you get a new paper machine felt, do not store it too long time, and when install a new press felt on your machine, we need avoid felt too dry when it’s running on the paper machine. It is necessary to adjust the speed ratio of each transmission point of the paper machine correctly to ensure that there is no abnormal speed difference.
