Corrugator Belt Apply on Double Facer

The synthetic corrugator belt is the core component of the double facer in the corrugated cardboard production line. It uses 100% synthetic fiber as raw material, replacing traditional cotton belts, and is suitable for high temperature, high pressure, high speed, and high humidity working conditions. It is responsible for cardboard transportation, hot pressing and shaping, and drying.

The Function of Corrugator Belt

• Conveying and clamping: Smooth conveying of corrugated cardboard, providing uniform pressure, ensuring adhesion and shaping.
• Heat conduction and breathability: Combined with hot plate heating, it quickly evaporates moisture and improves drying efficiency.
• Stable forming: prevent the cardboard from deviating, warping, and foaming, ensuring the flatness and strength of the cardboard.

Material of Corrugator Belt

• Polyester (PET): base material, high temperature resistance (130 ℃ long-term/200 ℃ instantaneous), wear resistance, size stability, moderate cost.
• Kevlar: High strength, low elongation, fatigue resistant, used for core/edge locking, improving lifespan and stability.
• Anti static fiber: eliminates static electricity, avoids paperboard adsorption and deviation.
• Absorbent fibers: quickly absorb free water from the surface of cardboard, reducing foaming.

Structure of Corrugator Belt

Typical structure (multi-layer woven/composite)

• Surface layer: high friction, smooth, wear-resistant, no indentation, strong paper carrying capacity.
• Middle layer (with core): multi-layer polyester/aramid weaving, providing strength, low elongation, and tear resistance.
• Bottom layer: wear-resistant, anti deviation, suitable for hot plate and roller surface.
• Thickness: 8-9mm (± 0.3mm).
• Width: 1600-3500mm, customized according to the width of the corrugated cardboard production line.

How to Choose Suitable Corrugator Belt?

• Double facer speed: Choose aramid reinforced type for high-speed lines (>250m/min).
• Cardboard type : High weight/heavy-duty corrugated paper with high strength and low elongation core selection.
• Working condition: Choose hydrophilic/highly breathable type for high humidity environment.
• Joint: For corrugator belt, preference should be given to ring or flat/toothed joints without joints to avoid steel buckle indentation.
