The common indoor cleaning of paper machines is to use a water spray pipe to continuously rinse the paper machine clothing. Among them, the hydraulic swing spray has better stability. In theory, the forming fabric rotates one circle and the water needle moves the width, which can ensure that the forming fabric is sprayed completely, avoiding the uneven spraying phenomenon that occurs in general swing machines. The water spray pipe swing device ensures that the water is evenly distributed in the CD direction and will not damage the paper machine clothing. The stroke and speed of the swing device are more important parameters. It is recommended to design the swing device to be twice the size of the nozzle, so that double coverage can be formed.
Online cleaning of the forming fabric
Daily cleaning of the forming net is very important. Paper making production always contains a variety of adhesives (natural resins, sizing machines, etc.) that are easy to adhere to the fabric surface during paper forming, causing the forming fabric to be blocked, thereby affecting the water filtration and paper formation uniformity of the forming fabric. Cationic passivators can be sprayed on the forming fabric to remove adhesives and prevent adhesives from adhering to the forming fabric surface and causing blockage.
Online cleaning of press felts
As an important part of paper machine, cleaning of press felts is very important. In actual production, the water holding capacity and water permeability of press felts mainly depend on the cleanliness of press felts. Paper materials are mixed with a large number of fine fibers and fillers into the press section. Under the action of extrusion, some fine particles are discharged into the interior of the felt. If they are not cleaned frequently, they will accumulate in the press felt over time, seriously affecting the water holding capacity, water permeability, and water filtration strength and efficiency of the felt. Therefore, daily care of felts is extremely important.
High efficiency press felt cleaning agents containing penetrants, dispersants, surfactants, and solvents can be used. Such cleaning agents have a neutral pH value and will not cause changes in the paper making system. In addition, the spraying agent must cover the full width of the felt, and the chemical delivery pump must be interlocked with the transmission of the press section.
New press felts are used after they are better. Once the felt is clogged and dirty, no chemical agent can restore it to an ideal clean state. Cleaning can only be started when the felt is clean. The continuous blanket cleaning procedure is: after the press felt is replaced, use a cleaning agent to continuously wash and protect it before the dirt enters the press felt, which can effectively prevent the press felt pores from being blocked, prevent the press felt from becoming hard and reducing the pores, resulting in poor water filtration performance.
Now high speed paper machines generally use a press felt care procedure that combines continuous cleaning and intermittent cleaning to ensure the press felt’s water filtration performance.
