Have you ever experienced fiber lose of paper machine felt?

When you install a new press felt on your paper machine, the felt was not running so long but occurs fiber (batt) lose. Why does this phenomenon occur?

There are several reasons for the occurrence of fiber loss or rapid wear on the back of the felt, including the following:

1. The design of thefeltis unreasonable or the needling density is insufficient.
2. Thefelt is too dry when it run on the paper machinee
3. The storage time of felts is too long.
4. There is a speed difference between the feltand the guide/press roller (the feltshas low tension and slips).

So when you get a new felt, do not store it too long time, and when install a new press felt on your machine, we need avoid felt too dry when it’s running on the paper machine. It is necessary to adjust the speed ratio of each transmission point of the paper machine correctly to ensure that there is no abnormal speed difference.
