The raw material of press felt is monofilament and fiber. Our raw material is imported from America Dupont, Switzerland EMS, Germany Perlon, etc.
What is The Production Process of Press Felt?
Raw Material Monofilament Process
Warping and weft winding: Twist a single yarn into warp and weft yarns to prepare for the subsequent machine steps. At this stage, it is necessary to closely monitor the uniform tension of the warp and weft yarns to ensure the smoothness of the press felt surface.
Weaving: The gauze machine places warp and weft yarns into fabrics of specified sizes and densities to make felts.
Stretching and cutting: Based on the customer’s product number and the weaving technology required for laying, the fabric is further trimmed into a bottom mesh fabric.
Stitching: Multiple pieces of bottom mesh fabric are combined at opposite edges, and one piece of fabric is stacked on top of another piece of fabric. The bottom mesh fabric is laid on top of the base fabric to form a circular combination woven into the base fabric.
Preheating and shaping: The press felt base fabric is heated and humidified enough to eliminate any tension changes in the base material and change its shape to form a size stable base fabric.
Press Felt Raw Material Fiber Process
Opening and mixing: inserting fibers into a fiber bundling machine and mixing clumps of fabric for carding purposes.
Carding, laying mesh and pre needling:
Load the fibers into the carding machine to flatten and pull the fabric into a single-layer fiber mesh.
Fold and thicken the bottom mesh into the mesh laying machine, then roll it onto the aluminum tube of the pre needle punching machine to reinforce the fabric and wrap it into the pre needle punching machine.
Needle Process
Spread the batt fiber and needle it into the base mesh to intertwine the fabrics. Perform the needle punching step under tension to ensure consistent weight distribution and surface smoothness of the felt.
Heat Setting and Finishing of Paper Making Felt
The paper making felt is then subjected to humidification, dehydration, heating, preloading, and resin treatment to improve its structural stability and breathability, while ensuring consistent moisture content.

SUN HONG has a mature and comprehensive internal quality control system, and quality control procedures are implemented throughout the entire production process, From the procurement of raw materials for blankets and the production process to the inspection of finished products, the quality control procedures run through the entire production process, ensuring that the company always adheres to high standards of product quality and meets customer needs.
And the quality control team members have an average of about 18 years of experience in the papermaking blanket manufacturing industry, responsible for monitoring the entire operation process and maintaining and operating our quality control system. They regularly report in writing any quality issues found during the production process and any defective products found by internal inspectors or returned by customers.
